hISTORY of cHUCKLE'S STEAKS
Growing up for the most part of my life outside Atlantic City, NJ and being situated less then an hour from Philadelphia I have had the great opportunity to try many amazing subs and cheesesteaks from a lot of amazing establishments in South Jersey and Philadelphia. Years and years of trying so many different places and the styles they bring to the table it hit me one day that I wanted to attempt to open my own food truck or brick and motor location for these gems of food. While I don't have an exact location yet set for where this grand idea of mine will prosper or where the food truck would be situated for now possible locations are on the thinking map.
Style of Subs and Cheesesteaks
While Philadelphia and South Jersey might be close to each other both differ on there style of how they make subs or cheesesteaks. One roll can't be used for both locations and something a true native of the area will understand. Atlantic City style roll we call it is more tough while a Philadelphia roll is softer so merely these rolls can change the texture and taste. Chuckle's will serve both style rolls and have multiple options of cheese, onions, cold cuts to appeal to the masses and I will even toast the roll if you please something some locations in the country also do. I plan to also do options for lower sodium subs and cheesesteaks with lower sodium cold cuts and wiz something most places do not offer this and are great for those that suffer from high blood pressure or sodium sensitivity. Gluten free and Vegan style will also be on the agenda.
hOW DId you get the name chuckle's?
One Sunday afternoon while deciding where to get dinner with a good friend of mine her text message auto correct took over and instead of saying Chickie's it said Chuckle's.. and that was it the name Chuckle's Steaks was born lol.
